What is Rewards?

Rewards is ezCater’s loyalty program for business catering customers.

  • Customers earn points on eligible ezCater Marketplace orders

  • Those points can be redeemed for discounts on future orders or Amazon gift cards

  • Participating restaurants can boost the base earn rate with a Rewards multiplier, offering extra points on orders from their brand

How Rewards appears on Marketplace listings

When you opt into Rewards and set a multiplier, customers will see several visual cues in the ezCater Marketplace

Listing badge and search indicators

On your Marketplace listing, customers will see:

  • A rewards badge or text that highlights your Rewards multiplier (i.e. 5x Rewards)

In Marketplace search:

  • Customers can use filters or visual cues to find restaurants that offer additional Rewards points

  • Your listing may appear more attractive in search results because of the additional value you provide through rewards

Ordering experience

When a customer places an order:

  • The checkout or order summary will show how many Rewards points they will earn

  • Orders from your restaurant with an active multiplier will show higher point totals, reinforcing the value of choosing your brand


How to opt in and manage Rewards in the Partner Portal

You can opt in and adjust your Rewards participation at any time directly in the Partner Portal.

Opting in to Rewards

To get started:

  1. Log in to your Partner Portal (web)

  2. Navigate to Marketing > Rewards

  3. Select the desired location

From there, you can:

  • Turn Rewards ON for that store

  • Choose your opt-in level

    • Select a setting of 2-5%

    • This spend applies an equal multiplier of rewards to customers on orders from your location

    • i.e. 5% = 5x multiplier

Rewards spend is based on the subtotal of each order

Viewing Rewards Spends

You can see your Rewards spend per order in a few places:

  • Order details page in the financial breakdown

    • Negative line item showing "Rewards promo"

  • Payment order report or completed order report

    • In column "X" labeled Rewards

    • See how to create order reports here

  • Payment breakdown in Financials tab

    • Click into a payment to see a breakdown

    • Rewards spend amount will show under Marketing Spend

Adjusting your settings

You can update your multiplier any time in the Partner Portal

  • Increase the multiplier when you want to drive more demand:

    • Launching a new location

    • Competing in a dense market

    • Targeting key seasons or events

  • Decrease it if you need to rebalance margins vs. volume

Changes typically take effect immediately and will be reflected on any future submitted orders.


By participating in Rewards, you give customers a compelling reason to discover, choose, and come back to your brand. With clear Marketplace indicators and simple configuration in the Marketing tab of the Partner Portal, Rewards is one of the most powerful tools available to help you grow loyalty on the ezCater Marketplace.
